Hey guys whats up hope your all having an awesome day/night.

So have a interesting problem and wondered if any off you have come across something similar and what you may have done in the similar situation.

My friends were all having a few drinks after work last night and as always myself and my girlfriend got an invite. I decided to stay home and work on my latest video rather than go for a drink but dropped my partner off and agreed to pick her up. Anyway went home made video uploaded. Blah Blah

On my way to picking my girlfriend i get 4 notifications pretty much instantly so thought id have a look (after pulling up of course) to find that my "friends" were now following my twitter for P0cketPaul not my personal one. Now i have mentioned im doing you tube but told them i wouldn't be showing them what i created as im new and a little shy with the whole idea.

So after picking the girlfriend up i find out my "friend" had tried to start watching my videos and taking the p*** basically untill my girlfriend got upset about the idea.

I'm just curious has anyone had there friends find their videos? How did they react? Im rather annoyed and feel betrayed my freinds feel to take a laugh at my hobby something that i enjoy doing.

My experience is my friends watch my videos, and I heard that some of them like it, they do comment if the sound on some videos are shoddy, which the specific videos are.

It is a big shame that they laugh at the videos, and I think you should talk to them about it.

Its something that im going to have to address. Just think laughing at it is a bit extreme. I understand they may not understand why i do it. But hey you learn stuff about people everyday.

My best friend, two guys from work who like gaming videos and my partner are the only people I know who watch mine! There was one annoying girl at work who was searching for me after hearing me and the guys talk, she found me and I've just denied that it's me up to today, I don't know why but I just don't want her to watch them, she hates gaming, and can't give me any decent feedback on them, that's the only reason I asked the guys to check them out and give me some advice!
I'm with you, I think until I'm better established or less shy or something I don't know what it is but there will be a point where I'll be ok with people I know watching, I think it is a little embarrassing in the beginning because you're doing something new and different and people are assholes so quite likely to judge and take the p**s, and I don't want that until I've a decent fanbase if that's even possible!

I actually didn't dare to share my channel with friends or family untill this september.... I kinda keep it on the down low because they don't really get it. Personally I keep other people off my channel but because I'm wanting to do Vlogmas this year, I'm mabey will not be able to do that but if so I would Always ask premision befor posting anyone online.

I had something similar happen in my early days on YouTube and I used that to motivate me even more. It was very satisfying seeing my mate's reaction when he recently found out I am now doing Youtube full time. I sometimes see him stuck in rush hour traffic and I always make sure to wave at him.

For me it has been very positive if anyone is putting down what you are doing, consider there friendship if someone is putting down what you love maybe you should look at if they are even a friend to begin with. Not everyone has to like your content, but if your friend is being just negative and offering no way to improve sounds bad IMO. However, I would use that for fuel to keep me motivated and going!

I told my best friend before I started making videos and then slowly I told a few other people. One day I just decided I didn't care any more and posted it on Facebook. Once I made a Facebook page, I invited almost all the people I have on Facebook. I know most of them don't care/won't watch them but if its out in the open, no one can say anything about me hiding it.
It's still a little weird when friends bring it up out of the blue but otherwise, its a thing and everyone at this point knows it. :')

Sorry your friends are kinda s****y, I'd talk to them and tell them they suck, nono I'd ask them why they were being awful.
