fraps vs bandicam?

I'm going to start off by saying that I've got a slow laptop. it's go intel i5, 4gb of ram, intel hd 3000 graphics. Now, fraps is working fine, but I'm looking at bandicam and it's smaller size. I'm wondering if my computer can handle fraps, can it handle bandicam?

DxTory takes use of slower computers and will "dumb down" so to speak it's capture to help you capture the best possible quality footage at the smallest size possible, I would recommend that.
 
Neither Try out Open Broadcaster (OBS) It's free, has livestreaming and recording capabilities, its a great piece of software that is simple to get your head around. Give it a try so long as you get the settings right it should be great ;) good luck
 
I have been using Bandicam from the start and had no problems with it whatsoever. Easy to set up, pretty straightforward to use and honestly, it's not heavy on the machine. But then again, I have never used Fraps on this machine, thus I don't know what it's like compared to Fraps performancewise.
 
Fraps all the way. There's a reason its been around so long. It works well and has all the features you really need. Plus the Fraps codec works in Adobe Premiere without having to use Virtual Dub to re-encode the footage with a different codec.

Storage space shouldn't be an issue. Anyone serious about YouTube should use a 1 or 2 TB external hard drive to store footage anyway. You can get a Western Digital 2 TB USB 3.0 hard drive for like $160.00 or so.
