Fraps problem(?)

so i just recorded a game with fraps, amd did face cam with my digital camera, and i put it all into ,y video editor so i could export and then edit (because i cant edit overlay, i had to compress it all into on video) thie took aprox. 18 hours amd when it finished i watched it. in the beggining the face cam lines up with gameplay perfectly, but about halfway through it goes completely out of sync, going behind the gameplay by at least 4 minutes. does anyone know why this happens and how i can fix i?

Hard to say but 18 hours and it goes wrong really sucks. Maybe there was an issue during the compression that just un-synced it, I would say try it again but I don't want you to spend another 18 hours for it to break again. Can you try a different video editor or try a different way of exporting it?

i think it my might have been because fraps split the video while recorder (because the filesize got to big i think, so it had to make another one ) but there was a time when it wasnt recording while it was spiltting the vieeo, im not sure though

i think it depends on the compresion if you don`t do it at the same thime then it desynks or it might be also that the program laged a bit ... that happned to me

Maybe, Fraps splits the video every 4GB to save size. Could you try rendering half the video, and then the other half and merge then again at the end. Might be a longer process I don't know but I'm struggling what to suggest?

Also keep in mind that if Fraps is recording at 25 fps and your camera records at 30 fps, there will be a desync happening the further you get into the video :)

hmm ... i think the fps would be the first thing to have in mind ... but then at this point is there a solution ?
