Fraps or Dxtory?

Which one would you say is best for recording gaming videos?
Or are they both equally good or terrible? XD
I have one of those HP computers with windows 8.. If that helps?

DXtory is able to record more mediums than FRAPS. So if you want to record any Binding of Isaac, you're going to have to use DXTory

Dxtory is a lot better because there's a lot more features. I love it because I can use the Lagarith Lossless Codec with it and get perfect quality with small file sizes.

I dont game but ive tested Fraps a few times and its great, simple, good quality. Dont know bout Dxtory.

I use Fraps, i love it but the other may be better but i haven't tried it. ^-^

I recommend Fraps if you can handle minor frame drops and and descent file space and dxtory if you can take space and if you can't handle FPS drops.

Thanks I tried out dxtory and in my opinion it's a lot better than fraps not so much lag! Maybe that's just for my laptop but thanks for your reply.

Yeah I would use it if your using a Laptop specially with a laptop but dxtory overall is great for any game.
