Wow Ireland has some stupid laws then :p lucky I have this thing called Freedom of Speech so I can say that from my point of view Forela is failing and they need to work on improving, and of course that starts with Kamran Sankey being more active. I mean from my knowledge Forela only has like less then 5 staff members. I know they have 2 network managers and of course Kamran, but I have never talked to anyone else that is truly involved in Forela.

Sorry if this is too much for you to understand @Shane.C, but I personally think that anyone who thinks that Forela doing great and people love the network is just kidding them selfs. They have a lot of room for improvement. And I know it from all the posts on YTTalk, people dislike Forela.
People dislike every network :P Every single one has its flaws.

Well I think he is just unaware of Ireland's freedom unless of course he is in Northern Ireland then he wont have very much freedom.[DOUBLEPOST=1400952633,1400952482][/DOUBLEPOST]
Then you must be new here because Forela are not a network I would put even on the top 5 most mentioned on Yttalk :)

Well I can tell you Shane, Forela Digital is not in the top 10 worst networks because Forela Digital is able to hide there bs (Cant cuss) So in a couple months they will be there because I have more and more evidence everyday. And on your network as well so be professional shane :)

Just for a bit of insight from someone who writes contracts, MOU's and other agreements for a living. Not every contract/agreement requires the painful legalese that plagues most contracts out there. In fact, you could write a basic transactional contract on a napkin, in crayon and as long as both sides agreed to it, it's a legal agreement.

Now, there certainly are items that can be contained within a contract that will make the contract illegal. In general if a contract contains a single illegal clause, the entire contract becomes void. There is nothing overly contentious in the Forela terms when last I read it.

On the topic of the signature portion. Remember that a signature is nothing more than an identifying marker of who it was that agreed to the contract terms. There isn't anything magical about a signature. The process of choosing to fill out their application form followed by having to actively select that you've read the terms and agree to them, followed further by only the active channel operator being able to complete the link request from inside their account does give a pretty solid trail of action indicating acceptance. It may not be "as good" as a signature, but that doesn't make it null and void.

On the topic of under 18. This is true of any network regardless of signature or otherwise. They could force you to send a scan of your drivers license but that's a bit invasive. Shane brought up a good point that if someone who was under 18 went through the partnership process without a guardian present, then they have committed a fraudulent action in doing so. Does it nullify the contract? Yep. Just be aware that in acknowledging that you agreed while under 18, you're also acknowledging you lied about your age.

The whole point of an exhaustive legalese contract is to try to close as many loop holes as possible. That's why they're long, difficult to read and understand. If you and I agree to be partners, then in future one takes the other to court and disputes what is meant by the word partner, because the contract didn't define it, etc. This is why lawyers get paid the big bucks (IANAL, but I work with them).

Personally I think its wrong for Forela (and all networks for that matter) to take advantage of kid. I think that networks can give off the wrong image sometimes. Partnering with a network can be SUPER fun and exciting. But at the same time I don't think that enough people know the risks, I'm mostly referring to kids right now. Don't get me wrong some kids know a lot about this stuff.

Networks are notorious for using tactics that prey on people who want to be famous, to be successful. I had a screenshot prepared between myself and Forela to prove my point but have decided to not post it.

All I have to say is, "doesn't surprise me".

Don't think it surprises anyone, I mean when your own staff member admits that a contract is not legal then that is just bad in my option[DOUBLEPOST=1400970616,1400960425][/DOUBLEPOST]One last note on this. I think its sad that no one from Forela has addressed this. This obviously shows their lack of support and shows that they truly don't care. In my option they truly don't care as long as they are making money. Just my thoughts tho. Maybe Forela knows that their contracts are not legal so they are just ignoring this topic.......
