for video edditing software

I've Got It
the video edditing software i recomend is adobe Premiere it is really easy to use and you wont even need any tutorials its strait forward :D
also fraps is a good starting program to use to recored :)
any sugestions that i should use other than these?

May I ask why you picked Adobe After Effects and not Adobe Premiere? Because Adobe's editing software is Premiere and it's Video Effects software is After Effects... Hence the name after you edit you add effects. If you think After Effects is easy to edit with you will be thrilled with how much easier Premiere is.

oh crap im sorry i meant that im switching it now :P
 
I used to reccomend videopad, but they recently changed their layout and it makes it much harder to use. Camtasia is good!

It's straight forward for cutting and adding text. Doing anything else will need some research lol
 
I think the entire creative suite is great. I like to "outsource" all the tasks to various programs from the creative suite then put them together in premiere and render it in media encoder. For example, photoshop for text and images, illustrator for layout (useful for after effects), after effects for video effects, audition to mix audio, and flash for animation. But you can just as easily make text in premiere, you just don't have as many options.
