First attempt at a Youtube Channel Trailer!

Hey guys, so I wanted to do a Channel Trailer for my gaming/geek channel and I had a quick go at putting something together this evening. Would love some feedback on what you think, what I should change etc.

I'm likely gonna give another one a go tomorrow and this time have some actual voice-over by me and see which style I prefer, though I have to say I'm pretty fond of the way this first attempt has come out to be honest..

Please take a look here and let me know what you think!

And I know the channel itself doesn't have much content, I just want to get a trailer sorted pretty soonish as I have a lot of content recorded and ready for uploading so I thought I'd make sure my channel was top-notch in terms of looks while I had the chance :)

Should be back up again now, just had to re-edit a few bits but it's still a work in progress so let me know what you think I should do to it/change :) thanks!
 
While it seems rather reasonable, a number of things can be improved. To being with, I'm not a huge fan of the font and the green glow, the two together just create a very '90s, dated look. Also, the video clips used weren't all in widescreen, and one even was taken in a portrait orientation which is something usually to be avoided. Other than that, if I were interested in gaming videos, I would have subscribed :D
 
Thanks for the feedback, really appreciate it! I have re-edited the video and am in the process of uploading it now so the widescreen/portrait clips are gone. To be honest I didn't even notice them when I was creating the video, how bad is that?! Tunnel vision is a terrible thing!

I know what you mean about the green and I am open to changing it up, but I'm quite keen on it so would love to hear what other people think before I make a decision. But it's definitely on my list of things to consider!

Thanks for the theoretical sub, it's good to know that the trailer was good enough to get that at least :D
