Finding it hard to keep old subscribers :'(

I check my youtube stats on SocialBlade once a month so I can see how the last month (30 days) looked and every month without fail my subscribers is just a mess! I lose 3 one day, then gain 3 over the next 2-4 days, then lose another 1 then gain 1 a few days later.. in the last 30 days I've gained 8 subscribers and lost 7.. I just can't seem to keep my older subscribers interested? or do I just have inactive subs that are slowly getting deleted then new active subscribers are coming along? it's taking me ages to hit my 2.5k subs milestone :L

yeah that happens to me too man i gain 4 one day then lose 2 a couple days later really makes me angry ive been at 1k subs this entire year because of that but i cant blame it entirely on that because i wasnt as consistent with videos as i was last year.

I know I had around 500-600 inactive subscribers when I re-booted my channel but I thought they would have all gone by now.. I'm just hoping these are inactives getting removed and my new subs will stay for good :D need to build up me sub/fan bass so I don't feel like time/money I spend on youtube things isn't wasted :)

2k subs should normally be a sign of a growing, successful channel. You should be gaining 20+ subs per day and getting >1k views per day at the very least. Whereas, you haven't gained a single sub in the last 30 days and you're only getting an average of 12 views per day (across 50 videos) Those are the sort of stats of a brand new channel with less than 10 subs and a handful of videos tbh.

How did you acquire those 2k subs?[DOUBLEPOST=1380234752,1380234575][/DOUBLEPOST]According to socialblade you acquired them all between the 17th and 20th January and then hardly gained any since. It looks botty or sub4sub tbh

I started the channel a long time ago then stopped at around 500 subs, started the channel back up and got a lof of the subs (but I think I might have been hit by a bot). Then I just grew slowly.. then I had to stop because my computer crashed all the time and I was overloaded with college stuff.. I removed some videos losing a large amount of views and I just think loads of my subscribers are inactive now.. kinda sucks but eventually youtube will remove those accounts :L

I only ever made it up to 20 last time, but I think I did lose one because they became inactive. It really does suck. Being so close to a goal or even reaching it (made it to 20, and then fell back down to 19). It's discouraging. :/

If they leave just know they left because they are not interested in your current content, meaning they should not be wanted, would mean dead subs, a waste of your time and fake milestone bringers....simple.

Yeah I checked out your channel. You have about 1/20th the amount of views compared to subs. So I would say that its mostly dead subs or just people who liked your older stuff and arent really interested anymore. Good luck reaching your goal though!
