Facecam or no facecam?

Now I been running this through my head for ages and cannot come to a conclusion about whether or not I should start adding a face cam to my vids or not. What you guys think? You guys prefer videos with or without facecam?

Judging by the games you play facecam would work on you channel very well horror channel are best suited imo to using facecam so go with it mate :D

I suppose you got a point... Never had much confidence so adding my face to the vids is kind of... I don't really know to describe the feeling

I just go for it. It's just more fun that way. I can understand some people are shy, or don't want 'the wrong people' to know what you look like. But in my case, how will you be recognized if you're just some random voice behind the camera all the time?

Unless you are expecting to show your emotions a lot (eg scares in horror games) leave it off. I don't wanna see your mug looking blankly at a screen while you play Solitaire ;)

What I'm saying is, they have their place so use your judgement. Obviously they are not suitable for every game :D

I prefer facecam gamers, but it does depend on the type of game, I suppose. Something about the facecam makes it seem more personal, maybe? I like seeing who I'm being entertained by. And spontaneous reactions to horror games are hilarious. :)

Hmm I should most likely do a test video to see how it look. Haha last thing i want is to sit infront of the camera and stare blankly at everyone. Thanks guys for the feedback and your opinions.

Yeah, do test footage and see how you feel about it. I personally only watch gamers with face cams, though. A face and a voice = a person, but for some reason it's a lot easier for a disembodied voice to irritate me.

You have to make sure you're interesting to watch, though... PewDiePie wouldn't be where he is now if he was a frumpy expressionless guy who zoned out on camera. I'm not saying you have to pretend or anything... but be okay with letting yourself go.
