Face Cam Improves Your Videos?

Does it? Idk if it's just me, but when I'm watching other people's vids and they have a facecam I feel more connected to them. Their videos just seem better. although, that only goes for people who at least look decent and have a good setup and don't look ratchet as hell, but is this just me? I might incorporate facecam in my own videos somehow (my setup is pretty ratchet itself, and idk where I'd put a camera, but I'd figure it out) if it meant a better response and effect with my viewers, but idk. What do you people think?
 
Well with the gaming videos I do watch (which is pretty few in terms of people I watch that do em) I personally find I don't care.

Most people I watch don't have them (unless horrors games are involved) and it works for me, since sometimes I watch and a lot of the time I listen to them.

On my gaming channel I don't bother, for me it'd be too much of a hassle unless I maybe do a horror game.
 
Yeah I like it more to have that facecam... it's funnier to see people's reactions and especially if you have multiple people like on my jnetplays channel i have one where i sit next to my friend and one where i sit next to my brother to play something together
 
I personally love facecam. I use it all the time in my videos. Which is why I got a better camera lol :P

I think it only works for some people. You either got to utilize it or be very emotive.
I don't like to watch facecams of a person that doesn't make many facial expressions.
 
It really depends on you as a person. To make it look entertaining on a webcam you need to act. All the famous youtubers who use a webcam puts on an act and over reacts to situations. The same goes for making a let's play without a webcam. You need to act!

If you can't put on a good act it doesnt matter if you use a webcam or not. It'll be dull to watch.

Personally I think facecams ruins the video.

Yeah, I agree, it probably depends on each person. Some people just look beautiful (pewdiepie...) and I could have a facecam in their all day, haha, but some people just, mmmm, no. I also hate when people do a facecam, and I mean, they have expressions and such, but they have the camera like 200 feet away from their face and I can see everything around them and whatever room their in. It just is unprofessional and it should at most show their shoulders and hair with a small marginal area around their head. #GETITRIGHT
 
I actually am not a fan of facecam. I feel like it distracts the viewer from the gameplay, and it adds an unnecessary graphic that covers part of the screen. If it is part of a template and doesn't cover part of the game, it's okay, but I still think it is distracting. I have used facecam on my livestreams, but I don't think I'm going to continue.
 
I honestly have yet to come across someone who is ratchet whatever the hell that means.. but if i were to do a face came i become popular fast, 1. i look like elijah wood 9/10 people say i do all the time 2. im hyper

also my background wouldnt look nice i would have to hangup posters or something and have better lighting.. soft boxes would be nice :D
