Everyone making threads about channel growth?

Why is everyone making threads about this but they have less then 50 subs? I know on this channel I have only 105 but my old one has well over 2k. I'm just wonder why everyone is posting this stuff if they are not even established yet?

Oh God, this 100 times over.
Like Sickflowz said, giving advice is great, for everyone's sake, please only give advice when you know what you're talking about. If you still want to add in your opinion, I wish people would make it clear that it's very (no offence) unfounded advice, and really only is their personal opinion.

Further, I wish people would also consider the bigger picture, really. On these forums, "a lot of views" basically means 50 views to a lot of people, which is absolutely nothing. Heck, I consider even my old channel, with 10k subs and close to 2 million views, a relatively "small" channel. So when someone posts about an "amazing" way to get "tons" of views, and you basically find out that they manage to get a few dozen views by posting on forums or something, it's a little "eeehhhh" tbh.

Just remember, everyone starts somewhere. When you're at just.. Let's say, 50 subs, then 50 views can be a big accomplishment. It's all relative to what is considered a large rate to you. You shouldn't ever be put down by 50 views, because it's better than 49, isn't it? Yeah, this is a forum for mostly small channels. That's because this is how to begin to even become a larger channel. So, any advice given here is better than no advice at all.

Without some sort of marketing campaign it's going to be extremely hard to make it on youtube today. Its packed by so many big youtubers as it is, so that 50 views from 50 subscribers is relatively still low. You can't hope to upload something in hopes somehow someone will see it. Its all about marketing if you want to make it somewhere now. Oh and obviously your videos have to be a paar with todays standards, the entire 720p with sounds ect I'm sure you heard it all before.

Isn't that what most of the advice posts are on? Ways of marketing? I know 50 views and 50 subs are low goals, but you can't expect to go from 1 to 1000 in a day without some sort of luck in it becoming viral of sorts. So, at a small channel size, you shouldn't discount any views you get or be discouraged about what "big youtubers" are accomplishing. As far as I'm concerned, I just focus on my channel and keep enjoying what I'm doing as a hobby.

I would disagree there. "Any advice is better than no advice", not really, no, if the advice is bad. Which a lot of it here is. What happens, is that the new guy/girl just believes what they've been told, do it, complain about not growing, then a new poster arrives, who are then retold the same ******** by the previous poster, who then goes on not to grow, and so on and so forth. If a lot of the advice is so good, why don't you see the original posters of that advice, skyrocket over time?

50 views is small. Heck, even with a brand new channel, I could get above that in a week or two (daily), just with proper SEO.

I get where people are coming from. 5 years ago, when I launched a previous channel, I remember being ecstatic about getting close to 100 views on a video, it was crazy! But that was also the time, when peoples idea of the most amazing viral video ever, was the Evolution of Dance, "YouTube SEO" meant spamming tags at the end of the description, and "Video Marketing" was something someone somewhere was probably doing, maybe, probably.

Personally, I haven't dealt with any "bad" advice on here. I believe what people post on this site are with good intentions, and we are just trying to learn what's good and what's bad. That's not a reason to look down on anybody for trying to help out some other people. YouTube isn't a job for most of these people, more of a hobby. Of course, we're all looking for views, but plenty of us are happy with achieving the next milestone through what we have done. I know you are trying to promote SEO more on this forum, I have seen the post where you have your advice for sale, but, to be honest, that seems more like a last resort to me, if you really are that view-hungry. Opinions are opinions, though, and I can't speak for everybody on this forum.

Well, whether it's a hobby or not, doesn't really change whether advice is bad or not. Some of the info posted here is outright wrong :S
I think it's great that everyone is trying to help out everyone! But it's not helping anybody, when bad advice keeps being repeated over and over again, simply because no one knows better, and everyone keeps giving advice on stuff they don't really know a whole lot about.

That seems ironic? I mean, people seem perfectly fine to spend ages working on social media, forums, commenting, and what-have-you, but spending 15-30min on optimizing your video, is just taking it a step to far? o_O' What exactly do you think SEO is? o_O'

I don't think you quite understand what I'm saying. I've read your posts, multiple times over, and it's basically telling everyone that they're wrong. Don't get me wrong, I think what you have done is convenient, but I wouldn't pay for it. I definitely wouldn't pay for something by someone who looks down on good people on these forums. This place is to share advice and grow together in a good community. Not make everyone feel bad about what they've accomplished and then tell them they have to pay to get better results. I optimize my videos the way I have learned, and I enjoy doing what I've done. I know what SEO is and I'm nowhere near an expert at it, my channel is only a little over 2 weeks old. I'm not saying SEO in general is not worth it, I know it's how you get your content out there. I would just rather learn it my own way and make progress without having to pay for it.

People on here have given great advice in terms of a small channel, and I think it's respectable that everyone is trying to help others out without taking advantage of anyone. We're all experimenting with what works and enjoying it as a community. Yes, some of it isn't the best advice, I can agree to that, but you don't have to constantly tell the people of these forums in such a condescending way. It seems a little disrespectful. I don't know if you are intentionally doing it, or it's just coming off that way. It definitely deters people from your product, though. Just a little advice.
