Editing software recommendations???

Hey mile high. That new video I mentioned is finished.
Sony movie studio 13 platinum (it's the budget version of Sony Vegas).

This video shows PiP, text and the explosion effect was using the green screen function.

Just go to my channel and it is the newest upload, "dangerous prams of deadly death".

The software has a simple mode while you learn, then you can switch to advanced mode to have more control. Best thing is you can switch between both modes with 1 click whenever you want. I do it all the time.

Hope this helped.

Yeah, you'll be just fine with CS6. It took me a couple of weeks to get to grips with everything (but that's just because I fail at technology, ahaha) but now I'm in love with it and swear by it.

Also, a note - wanting something that's "easy and quick" is fine, but remember that a lot of the awesome videos you see probably took a while to edit - and there's nothing wrong with that. You can't rush art, after all!
Sometimes a more basic programme is all you need, but you might limited in terms of what you can create. It can be pretty frustrating when you don't pick up something straight away - heck, even I'm still exploring the basics of Premiere Pro - but it's worth it when you can add just that little extra magic to your videos.

I use Sony Vegas! It works great though it crashes sometimes when I'm doing to much stuff at once! But I think that's just me always being in a hurry! xP

Seconded. Personally I found it really easy to pick up, and if I ever need to do anything that I'm not sure of there are tons of tutorials on YT. Sometimes the biggest challenge can be finding the right term to search for; you know what you want to do, but you don't actually know what the technique is called (J-cuts or L-cuts for example).

yea, ive had that issue already, not knowing how to serach... ok, i was concerned about it at first, sawe after my download it was a 2012 app.... my current app (lightworks) only exports 720, does cs6 export in 1080?[DOUBLEPOST=1449790832,1449790666][/DOUBLEPOST]
Its really good - does all the PiP and awesome greenscreen. Has really good preset animated text.

I have only just started exploring it. later tonight I will upload my new video which has a several examples of the text and 1 shot using green screen.

great editing on your video my friend.... just wanna suggest turning up your audio, had trouble hearing you clearly..great edits though!!!

Yeah, 1080p is no problem. You also get Adobe Media Encoder in CS6 which is a standalone (some say better) encoder than Premiere Pro's own built in one.

If you're looking for free software that exports 1080p, I believe DaVinci Resolve does it. Personally I only ever export to 720p for filesize/upload ease.

For me, there's more to editing software than just ease of use or feature set.

I previously used Sony Movie Studio 13, which from a features point of view was great - but when rendering it does not support the last couple of generations of Nvidia GPU. So I switched to Power Director 13.

My vids went from taking over 1 hour to render, to less than 20mins. The few features that are a bit clunkier to use in PD13 were easy to overlook when I can render so much quicker, and use my PC for other things while rendering, as the CPU isn't maxed out.
