Editing On PC

Guys, I'm going on vacation for 2 months, summer break, anyways I'll be making videos & vlogging mostly, so I use my desktop computer which is a iMac 2009, and I edit using Final Cut Pro X & iMovie. So the problem is, I have a windows 8 touchscreen laptop, I enjoy it & it's good for school & stuff, but I need to know a similar editing program that I can use to edit on my Acer Aspire V5 Touch, as I'm not bringing my desktop with me on my trip, so yeah tell me any similar software, not after effects as I'm not doing major affects in my videos, but simple text & trimming & organizing clips. Thank you

You can download Premiere Pro CS2 and After Effects CS2 for free from Adobe's website on the link above. This is old software but professional nevertheless.

Thanks, for trying but I said anyhting other than Adobe After Effects, & It can be paid I can easily buy it under $1000

Premiere Pro is good for editing, I'm going to suggest you try that out. If not, you can see for a version of Sony Vegas.

The adobe suite is definitely the way to go if you can afford it. It will be closer to final cut x in similarity but also quite different at the same time so make sure you work with it before you go on your trip so you don't have any headaches! However, once you learn it STICK to it. It's the industry standard now and is definitely the route to take in regards to editing. Much much cleaner/faster than the final cut packages.
