Editing and rendering

Guys what programs do you use to edit and render your videos? Also what type of videos are you making and how long is it taking you to render them out? I mean I do gaming and if I record for 15 minutes, editing takes like 5 minutes just to snap everything together and get the timing right and then it takes about 45 minutes to render, does this sound right to you guys?

Mac : Final Cut Pro , It takes me around 20 - 30 mins to edit it out renders so what happens next is to do the export, which I have it to automatically go to Any Video Converter to compress my video and convert it to .mp4. All that process takes like 40-50 mins depending on how long the video is and how much gb or kb it is.

Windows: Premiere Pro, takes me longer than 1h - 2h since it needs to render most of the time so you can see everything running smoothly. Last time I use it, it took 5h -6h of render and then 2h of export. Then the compression takes around 30mins - 1h.

I use Vegas 12, usually takes me between 0.5-1 hour to edit then it takes another half hour to render. Really depends on the length of the video though. Mine are usually short.

i do vlogs rather than gaming videos, and just use movie maker since i don't need anything special. depending on length etc. it usually takes been 30 mins and 1:30 hours to edit, and then 15 mins to render if i'm doing it low quality, or about and hour and a half if i want it 1080p... your lengths sound about right to me but then again i never do gaming videos :p

I use.. Final Cut 7... Sometimes Adobe and occasionally AVID. It really depends what is going on and what I have going on.

Let's see I use Adobe Premiere Pro CC. I do both vlogs and gaming videos. The gaming videos take about 5 minutes to "render" and about 15 minutes to "export". They are generally 10 - 15 minutes in length. My vlogs take about 20-30 minutes to render (I put lighting effects and other things on them) and another 20-30 minutes to export.

Editing time for all those really varies for me, depending on the video, and I do all my commentary for the games post-production.

Jesus guys what do you do in editing? Or is my time counting a little bit off? I don't know it feels like I should be spending more time editing seen as though you guys are putting in hours, what do you guys do, or class as 'editing'?

I use Adobe Premiere CS and editing can either take from several hours to days/weeks since I work on a mix of short and complicated projects.

It takes me anywhere from 10 minutes to 2 hours to export depending on the project. I usually use rendering sessions as break time.

Premiere Pro CS6, h.264 render at 1080p.

The render time is not linear-related to the time of my videos however. 22 minutes = 30 minute render. 36 minutes = 1 Hour Render. 1 minute = nearly instant. My computer is weird like that.

Corel VideoStudio Pro.
Movies type - trips/documentaries.
Editing - several days (at least several hours each day).
Rendering less than 40 min. for up t0 10 min. movie.
