Does Sharing Videos On Social Sites Work???

So since my last post the channel has really grown and that's a great thing however I feel like with me sharing videos to social sites haven't really helped at all if ever. What is your opinion on sharing videos on Twitter, Google+, etc.

I often share my uploads to Facebook and other sites and usually get 200+ views and reach far more on Facebook than I usually do on YT.

It sometimes helps, however with some sites like yttalk there are an increasing amount of creators and from my experience creators focus mainly on there channels rather than explore new ones with similar content.

i haven't done so but i have heard it has helped alot of other youtubers i think it depends on what you are doing as you need to know where to post your videos if you are promoting them

Yeah totally agree with the fact of knowing where to post them. I have just had better luck just uploading them and making tags that will make them noticeable

It's harder to get people to cross the boundary of one social network into another, but not impossible. If you have the time to cultivate the right following elsewhere, then go for it. I have found moderate success with Twitter, for example, but I treat it as its own platform rather than only a way to funnel people back to YouTube.

It all depends on how many friends & followers you have on your social media accounts. I post my videos on Twitter and it generates a good amount of viewers for me. Posting videos to social media helps spread your content in my opinion.

Honestly I don't think social media really helps all that much until you get to the stage of becoming a 'big' YouTuber. A lot of people couldn't care less if someone posts a random video unless it is specific to them. I think it all takes time before social media actual begins to take affect!

I got results by posting videos in popular groups of social media sites, not so many by posting on my own page

Twitter and Instagram and such doesn't really help me that much maybe a few views from there but Facebook helps me a lot. I don't get many subs from it since a lot of my friends and family on there don't have accounts or never log in to them, but as far as views I get way more views if I post on there than anywhere else since it's my friends and family and a lot of them want to watch the video to check it out whether it's good or not because they know me. And occasionally they will share a video which gets me some views and a sub here or there from their friends that I don't actually know.
