Does DEDICATION Guarantee YouTube Success?

What kind of people? I didn't connect with anyone I'd consider "the right people". I had my idea. I stuck to it. It paid off.
Connecting with people in general...not naming specifics...meaning your followers, other youtubers, collaborating...people in your daily life. We all need each other, we're human. I believe to become a better self I need other people who lift me up as I do for them.

I think a channel can become successful off of hard work and dedication as long as they have good content. But i do believe most people that make it big is off of luck. Either from being discovered by a large youtuber or making a viral video. Finding a niche is really important and can help a channel grow pretty fast. Unfortunately a channel like mine we cant really get a niche lol.

Getting a viral video is a really interesting technique. It's incredible how one video can change the course of your entire channel.

I wouldn't necessarily say that dedication and consistency will guarantee success, however I would say that assuming other factors line themselves up (good SEO, high quality videos, strong community upkeep) then dedication and consistency will certainly help you reach toward success.

Interesting take. Community is pretty important too, yeah.

Can you grow a successful channel purely by being determined, dedicated and hard working?

No matter the rate of growth, however niche your audience is, etc. - Is consistency the key?

Many would argue that other factors have a much bigger input on teh potential success of a YouTube channel. For many, luck is one of the primary factors involved. Being noticed by a bigger YouTuber, hence gaining a boost in subscribers and exposure is an effective way of growing a brand/channel quickly.

There are various other factors that people believe are the most effective, but are they required, or is consistency the only thing you need?

Purely working hard, being determined, and dedicated is not a guarantee. People have been grinding for years and years and have gotten nowhere. Good content and exposure are the most important in my opinion.

Working Smart > Working Hard

Dedication plays a massive factor but I also believe the willingness to change and evolve your channel to get better is even more important. Continuously putting out the same quality over and over doesn't result in a super amount of growth

I think there is way too much luck involved in getting your channel noticed for pure dedication and hard work to pay off. Sure, you have a much better chance of success at it, but you're not going to make it purely by grinding out videos and tweaking your channel to be what you think the public wants. Because a huge part of what the public wants is captured in who the creator is and how they present themselves in their videos, and a lot of THAT is ingrained in us already.

I would like to think so, but i also believe its good content that keeps getting better! Being consistent, hardworking with good content you can be sucessful. At least thats what i believe. :3

Ok I understand :) Yes I'd agree with you on that

If you really think about the way youtube is, if you posted one video a day for your entire life, theoretically you should be able to be mildly successful. This is assuming that your videos are of decent quality and that people are able to find your videos by search. I think what most people try and do is increase those few and far between subscribers to a more steady flow by increasing video quality and creating videos that are shareable. Back before I had videos that were mildly successful, I would gain a few subscribers here and there anyways and I wasn't completely consistent. So I think dedication is definitely the base of a youtube channel, but fun videos and connecting with your audience as well as bringing something unique to the table are also important,

Can you break a wall with a feather by consistently hitting it even if you never stop?
The same answer.
Even if you could, it would take a long time.
Either change the hitting item, or live forever. Consistency can only be a HUGE help. Not the key tho. My 2 cents :)
