Does anyone else hate their own voice in a video?

Yes I'm not a huge fan of my own voice, I'm slowly getting used to it, but man I just don't think I sound very good.

I tend to slur in my videos thanks to my Autism, and it makes me hate my voice. It may just be a personal thing though, what do you guys think?
I hated my voice for the longest time, it was so cringey. But I eventually shrugged it off by realizing that that's just me and there is no changing it. Keep filming and you'll eventually forget to even think about it.

As a fellow sufferer of Autism I can vouch for this. I do a lot of commentaries and although a lot of people tell me that I have a great recording voice, sometimes I get quite frustrated because it can take me forever to finally be happy with a commentary before I upload it, and even then I sometimes feel like I haven't done enough, or it sounds wrong.

I used to hate my voice SOO much, I knew I sounded really high and cringy because of the way I talked and my dialect I guess...I watched people like "TheCreatureHub" back in the day, specifically "UberHaxorNova" and I loved his yelling and his voice and I wanted to be like him but I realized that I can't do that, I can only do what's natural to me...eventually I started loving my voice overtime as I got older =P

I can relate to this so much! I hate the sound of my voice I don’t know if it’s the way I sound or what it is, but i find it very difficult editing my own videos due to me not wanting to hear my voice. I’ve tried to get over it but it’s difficult man, well it is for me at least lol hopefully eventually I’ll get over it.

This is exactly how I feel too! It's so difficult to look at what I've filmed and hear myself talk so editing is hard. Can't believe this is what I sound like to others. It's a bit weird when I film now too, because I know what it will sound like. I hope I will get past this really soon. I think I will try to imagine it's not me in the video when I edit, might make it better.

That might help ! Try to imagine that is someone else’s voice instead of mine. There has been times that I have edited videos for two hours straight and I just end up deleting them because I feel like I sound cringy lol.

I've grown to have a love hate relationship with my voice... since my accent is all over the place and I have such an high obnoxious nostril sounding pitch but hey ho, what can i do? I might as well just live with it...

Anyway your voice always sounds weirder to you as instead of hearing it echo in your head you're hearing it from a different perspective

It's really just because the voice you hear in your own perspective is different from the one you hear on video due to vibrations through your cochlea and inner ear. I used to have the same issue, but now, when I do voiceovers or speak in my videos, I do my best to speak slowly and clearly. You're not alone at all. Hearing my own voice used to bother me, but it doesn't anymore.

Same thing has happened to me haha. I know the feeling. Also, I found that the more time I leave between filming and actually editing the worse it is. If I edit straight away, that helps a bit, but if I leave it for a a few days it's almost impossible to watch. Not really sure why this is...
