I think it has a lot to do with trying to shift my focus from getting subs to focusing on content primarily. I really want to make content that both viewers AND I find interesting now that I've been on Youtube a few years
I spend a lot of time in the planning and script-writing phase and that's when I'll make the decision whether or not to go ahead with the video. So yeah it happens that I'll spend several hours on a video only to scrap it before even recording anything.
Just scrapped one the other day! It's an on going process for me to master the audio aspects of my content....my biggest pet peeve is the sound. Yeah some videos will be better than others....but if they're acceptable and I can close my eyes and laugh most of the duration of that video, then I think I've done a pretty good job.
Omg yes I have done this... because how can I expect others to enjoy when I dont even enjoy it.
but sometimes i just dont have time to redo an entire video so i just cut and cut and cut til its just right... I get surprised at how I can turn it around with a little extra editing.
I was telling myself all week long... you have to stay on schedule you have to make a video.... TODAY!
So I did finally after dragging my lazy behind out of bed... and after a whole day of filming two video's I realized I put my camera on a low setting on accident so I could scrap those two video's....
Later that day I was like 'Oke'! I can repeat at least one of my video's and be done with it and be on schedule... So I remade one of my whole video's all up to editing and I was so fed up with it and not really satisfied with the outcome that I scraped it and made a better video finally yesterday... 3 days later ><
