Does age have anything to do with it?

True...swearing makes stuff a lot funnier. :p I do find that teens who swear get more popular, but even then it's nowhere near the big YouTubers.

On the flip side, there's a lot of people who don't swear (I'm not one of them :D). I don't think age matters. Anyone can play a game. I believe it's all about the comedy and the reactions. If your commentary appears genuine (not fake, trying to be someone else) then you'll get your audience :thumbsup2::Blackalien2:

It's not entirely "age", it's more about your experience and the quality of everything.
It takes a long time to get something as high quality as all the biggest youtubers, and in a lot of cases, it took these people 5+ years to get there.

I'm (re)starting out at 17, and I have lots of experience.
It's all about the quality.

Age? No it doesn't matter. Content is king, and your voice is part of that. A smooth voice that flows from sentence to sentence is easier on the ears, and that's something you must develop. Younger voices or 'sqweekers' as they're referred to are usually less desirable, but can be negated with skill and the aformentioned ability to flow smoothly.

Hope this helps!

I think age matters....

For that people generally likes watching role models, which they feel have more experience and sometimes a bit older.

The opposite is the young cute children, which being watched by parents/other children/people liking children

So what if you're at the age of 14 or 16? Does it stop people from watching your videos? ABSOLUTELY NO! Just as long as your content is unique and the audience loves it, they will watch your videos and you'll eventually be a sensation! :)
