I don't want to start up any arguments. I don't think Youtube is a dying platform but what are your opinions and thoughts on Youtube and will it be here in the next 5-10 years?

The platform is far from dying however there is no 'you' anymore as most people have a production team and the creativity has gone as people just copy each other. Also all the TV shows coming over is good for the site but not for the creators

There are only a few things I would nit pick about the system, but I don't really believe it is dying.
Things like...
- Locking the comments, but also letting us put a global message in the comments saying. "Please tweet your comments at @blahblah". Something like that.
- Not allowing people with adblockers view your content (just an option in settings, that doesn't need to be global).
- Making comment filters auto delete content instead of letting it sit in a tab. Maybe even letting the original poster see a message about that word not being allowed.
- Make streaming... better... idk it just sucks for a lot of reasons.

I personally think Youtube will be fine. Whether we are with it or not. It still brings in advertisers (granted a ton of them left) and people who consistently upload content on it. I do agree that a lot can be changed for the better but I don't think it'll happen for the new Youtubers with only themselves and low-end equipment. It's definitely harder and harder to live that Youtube dream many seek.
A lot of big channels now have production companies along side them and at least 3+ people running the channel. Newer channels won't have that in the beginning and Youtube does not care to bump up their videos either.
Overall I think Youtube will still be around but as a content creator it will keep getting more and more difficult even if some things along the way make it easier for us.

Dying not for sure, but it seems to be going through tougher times at least from a user's point of view. I agree with @Farley Productions , more than " broadcast yourself" it will become "Broadcast your format but god forbid you make our advertisers unhappy"

I feel that if it´s going further downhill, other platforms will take some grounds. But at the same time, there´s a lot of creators on youtube, and the brand itself will hold longer that I can expect.
But youtube has its problems for sure!

Nope, just changing. Things culturally on YT aren't the same as they used to be, but YT is putting up more view time than ever. Things that don't change are more at risk of dying.
