Do you keep/backup everything?

I must admit I never bother D: but then again I am the type of person if I ever did lose everything, I would only be upset for a short amount of time. Stuff is stuff, not the end of the world :D

I really should do this, since I am doing daily videos to document my life... but I don't have money to get a external hardrive to hold all these videos lol.

I save all raw video, project files, and exported video files.
I have a 2TB scratch disc I use for my current project/s, and once finished I move all the data across to my Drobo which has tons of space, and is connected to my server.

Sometimes I refer back to older project files etc, in case I want to create a video clip with a link at the end of a current video to anything similar that a viewer may wish to watch, hence I need to keep all old project files.

The actual Drobo I use is in the video in my sig ;)

As of right now, with each episode I just upload a private video with the bloopers from that video (because we occasionally do a blooper reel episode) and a version of the video without music (in case I ever want to do some sort of montage or need it for something else). Then I keep it on my external hard drive until it fills up (which for us is about 20 episodes) and then I just delete them when I need space! Eventually when we have enough money, I'll invest in a larger hard drive to store everything but as of right now, I really don't ever go back unless it's for bloopers or scenes from old episodes.

I only have a new video once a week so I keep all the files. The completed videos stay on my hard drive and on google drive, and all the raw files I just put onto Amazon Glacier to save space.

Quick question about Amazing Glacier, because I briefly tried using it once. Does it take ridiculously long to upload files to that or was I just doing something wrong? I looked into it and thought it was such a good idea until I started uploading and it said it was going to take 30 hours to get all my video from one episode uploaded. Also, do you use a client to upload, like Transmit or something?

Assuming your upward bandwidth is not the limiting factor, I'm not really sure. I use a program called FastGlacier and it works well. There is a free version but I have the pro version which is $40.
