Do you help others out?

My channel is no where near big enough to offer any collab benefit :(. That doesn't stop me from helping people though! I comment on every video I can, whether it is giving feedback or just offering some support. I tend to share other people's video too, if they've really appealed to me.

Since we are still a small channel, the only way we've been able to help another channel (who only has about 10 less subs than we do) is a collab. We've tried reaching out to other channels who have a similar topic but we usually get turned away because of our size.

Once in a while. Never handouts though, I only ever work with channels who I think deserve a helping hand. Whether it be their quality of content or an outstanding personality.

I reply to everyone who comments on my videos, if I'm able to. And anyone who suggests a future topic for my videos will receive a shoutout at the end and a link to their channel in the description. c: I am planning on collaborating with more people on my channel; it's just a case of finding something that works for both of us.

If I really like a video, I'll share it on reddit
I'm always afraid to share other people's stuff on Reddit because I don't know if that will mess up their retention times.

Whenever I start to watch a video by someone who appears to be making a serious go at having a channel, I always let the whole thing run, even if I don't like the video so I don't mess up their retention stats.

Like others here, I feel too small to be of much help to others. I greatly appreciate every like and comment on my videos and I think most people appreciate my comments and likes on their work. These little things are very meaningful and powerful to people who are working very hard to produce something of value.

Yes and no. Help others if you believe they are genuinely a great YouTuber and they do things you learn from and you want to do. That allows them to get publicity from you, but also allows you to collaborate with a good YouTuber that your viewers will enjoy and this attracts more viewers. So this helps both you and them majorly. You're not doing each other a favour, but you're collaborating as partners.

If the other guy sucks as a YouTuber, then no. Your job isn't to make people happy necessarily. If you focus too much on that then you won't get anywhere and you'll just be helping people grow their channels.

Help others, but help yourself too. If a YouTuber is good and will get anywhere in their career, they'll fit into the first category anyway.

I'm way to small of a channel to help very much but I comment on and like videos I like and I share them as well. I would be open to collabs if I ever got the chance.
