Do You Ever Delete Videos from Your Channel?

For example old videos that you are not proud of anymore. Or videos that you rushed. Even if the video is gaining some views, it might be doing more harm than good as potential subscribers see it and subsequently lose interest in your channel.

The reason I ask is because I have one video on my channel that I'm thinking of deleting. It only took me an hour or two to complete compared to days for my other ones. I just made it spare of the moment when some YouTube news broke while the other ones are carefully planned. It gets some views, but I don't even like the idea of people watching it.

I think I've decided to delete my substandard video (or at least put it on private), but I wanted to see who else deletes their videos?
 
I've never felt the need to delete anything as of yet. Believe me, I've been tempted. The quality of my older work is just ... awful.
But it's usually part of a series and it's a sign of how far I've come in just a few short months, I suppose.

Some older videos are now unlisted, simply because they were uploaded when I was still figuring out what to do with my channel. Now my channel has a set theme, I don't have to worry too much!
 
I had 1 video that had an audio error in it. I deleted it and reuploaded.
Another used a movie trailer. It was flagged but not for a strike - just to tell me that I couldn't monetize it.

Even though it didnt hurt me or give me a strike, I have heard of people that have had videos without strikes suddenly have claims laid on them years later.
So erring on the side of caution I deleted it.

Other than that, I agree with DSM, its good to see where you started and how you've improved. I remember I was watching a popular channel, a link someone had sent me. It was a vlog and I didnt really get into it but was amazed by the views. So I loaded this channels first few videos and the quality was horrible.

Thats when I broke the mental barrier and said, I can do this!
 
If I feel like a certain video shouldn't be on my channel then I will normally just set it to private!
 
yeah, ive deleted quite a few videos from my channel. most of them were pretty stupid and i didn't put any work whatsoever into them. i deleted about 5 or 6 of those... glad i did though.
 
I have deleted all of my awful videos from my VLOG channel because nobody really liked them or somehow they were cringy,
 
Yeah. Well, I don't delete them permanently, just set them to private. It's not like I'll ever really want to watch it again, but I guess I can't pull such a big trigger as making a video disappear and be unrecoverable forever...
 
I would put them either on private or unlisted. Deleting is so drastic, plus you lose all the views you had on your overall count.
