The most interesting man in the world part I was refering to someone else's response sorry about that. Also how do you figure that RWJ became a moneyhore?
 
I used to, but I get so many now that it'd take a while. Hopefully that doesn't sound like boasting, haha. I have some friends that post on all of their subscriber's channels saying "Thanks for subbing" which is sweet :)
 
I always check my subs, and leave a short "Thank you" message in the Discussion part of their channel. Depending of the content of their front page, I take the time to look a bit through their stuff and interact a bit, even subscribing in the end if I find the content interesting. Sometimes the person ends up to be an active subscriber because he or she likes interaction.

I have a really small channel so I can do that for the moment, but I'll be really happy if one day doing this will become impossible to do for me :)

I don't really check their channels out unless I have a lot of free time which I don't. Though, I reply to most comments unless it's a stupid comment.
 
Gaining one is an absolute privilege - if it's possible to see who they are, then I'm straight over. Yeah, I'm a tiny channel but so what - I hope I never get so jaded and conceited where you assume YouTube owes you subscribers.
