Do NOT reply to hate comments.

I actually respond to hate comments more than positive ones. Usually it is someone who was offended at my video or saying they hate me. I'll usually reply with something like, "Thanks for watching! Please make sure to share my video with your family and friends!" I also have an initial comment on each video where I say I take requests and to please reply to the comment with the request. When I get people replying to that to say they hate me or hope I die or something, I always reply saying I'm unfamiliar with that title and ask if it is the name of a song or something.
 
Haven't received much hate for my videos, but I'm sure it will come in good time. Either way, I probably won't be responding to much to it.
 
Luckily I didnt had any hate comment yet \o/

But honestly if it was hate with some constructive criticism I would reply to it. If it was only pure hate not sure what I would do.
 
I actually do respond to them but its usually when I have a witty comeback/comment but if its just straight up spam/hate I either delete the comment or if they are persistent, completely block them from my channel.

That is a really good tip that most don't think about, you are also ensuring that your comment gets placed closer to the top
