Do Indie Games get much attention?

Since I am getting the feeling you are looking for possible content ideas to grow your channel let me write some more spiel at you.

Indie games get less attention but will give a youtuber more attention because of less competition...

If a new Assassin's Creed comes out there will be about 4.3 million people playing and posting footage. If you create a video you're just part of that giant pile and are going to have a hard time getting noticed. But let's say you decided to make a video about Gun Monkeys. A fun little indy game with very few videos of it on youtube, people may search it and find you right away or the people searching may watch a larger youtuber and your video may pop up on the suggested videos just because there are so few videos.

The reason indy games can help youtubers is because they are only part of a handful of people covering it. If you have better audio quality, commentary, insight etc- it's much easier to become -the- video to watch to get an idea of what the game is.

Very good insight. I think tomorrow I'm going to look up some fun indie games to try out and possible gain a new audience of viewers that is different from my Call of Duty audience.

We were wondering if anyone else finds them boring and if you guys would watch indie games.

I would try to play Indie games that haven't already been played by other Youtuber's.
Games like Amnesia, etc. have millions of videos on Youtube due to Pewdiepie making this game huge.
So, in a sense, yes? Indie Games will get good attention if there are few videos with them already. :D

You need to remember that the game needs to be semi-popular. A few videos of the game on YT doesn't hurt because you can use them to find tags and see what viewers want from that game.
 
Indie games doesn't mean that they're not popular and won't grab attention =P
Indie just means they weren't published by a gaming corporation. If the game is good, anyone will watch it.

Yes, but there are a lot of indie games that no-one ever heard of, so you should watch out for that.
