Reddit is quite useless to most except for short, potential viral content due to the way Redditors work. Self promo will get you nowhere in Reddit.

Keep in mind that the first 30 upvotes are crutial to the life of a thread so try to get a "reddit squad"
Gather your friends (do not create multiple account, that would be against the rule) so when you post a content you'll guarantee the first upvotes and the others will snowball, keep in mind that it works way better with a short video
