Do extra tags help?

I do all my own graphics!
Do the extra tags I see some channels putting in their description help?

I'm thinking of starting it but I'm a bit concerned that it looks messy and unprofessional.

Extra tags certainly help in the long term; but only if they're related to the video. If they're not, you could well get hate comments on your video, for having misleading tags. And then you'll get a bad reputation. Use tags that relate to your video though, and you'll be fine! :)

I was actually wondering about this too.... recently, I watched a video that had a lot of views, and in the description, there were tags and the headline of the video written there. gisikw, Wreckless Eating, do you guys know anything about this?

I'd say why not write a paragraph that relates to your video with phrases in their that may relate to your video, that way it won't look unprofessional but will still help you appear in search results.

I feel like when I do that people are likely to not watch and just read the description. :/ ??[DOUBLEPOST=1366496015,1366495943][/DOUBLEPOST]

Yep, I'd use related tags of course, and only the main big ones. I hate it when people use every single tag they can think of to draw up the search engine.

Thanks Matt. :x32:

Just being honest :P By the way just watched your video on the new map pack, I'm not a Call of Duty player myself anymore but I used to play Black Ops a lot and I noticed in your video that "Studio" looks to be exactly the same layout as "Firing Range" was, is that the case?
