Do dislikes affect anything?

So I was wondering do dislikes on videos affect anything? I remember seeing in the Fullscreen requirements something about high number of likes or ratio of likes or something I forget.. Do networks really care about dislikes? Because I never disable my video ratings (nor do I ever plan to regardless how many dislikes it gets, I hate when people disable ratings), but something annoying is that I make videos of many different games, and when I do a first look at a "bad" game, people dislike my video because they don't like the game, not because the video is bad so I was thinking.. do those dislikes are affect anything? I don't care if my videos have dislikes, I just don't want it to affect any network or search results stuff.

If you still maintain more likes than dislikes there will not be a problem. At least I'm guessing that's the case.

From what I see around here it affects many creators well being, however it doesn't do anything negatively to SEO rankings.

It'll affected in search, maybe.. Idk, but as long you have more likes after dislikes, should be no problem..

pretty soon youtube might be facebook and get rid of the dislike bar. which i would not be a fan of... i hate when your searching for a trailer and have to go by the dislikes to see if its the real one or not
