i consistently look for people to do real life collaborations with me but i can never find any creators in my area maybe im not looking in the right places but it seems the whole Midwest is void off them they all seem to gravitate away from my region and i was wondering if any of you live in the upper Midwest and share this frustration

I used to live in Ohio but as soon as I was able I left. I have thought of returning just for a visit, but am afraid I would be forced to move back if I do visit.

Alot of big channels, MCNs and talent groups are located in the Los Angeles area. You even see medium-big channels moving there because there's so much opportunity for collaboration and use of an MCNs production facilities. (or the YouTube space LA)

There's also the new YouTube Space London coming soon, if you live in the UK.

I'd say Canadian YouTubers have it pretty hard because Canada has around 36 million people and we're so spread out, it's terrible.

U.S. people are spread out as well away from the east/west coasts. The midwest has some beautiful places but also many many small towns which are unlikely to host any potential collaborators.

I'm completely convinced that every YouTuber either openly lives in LA, or secretly lives in LA. There's no other reasonable thoughts to be had here. It's bloody ridiculous. Everybody and their mom does collabs in LA, but you never see or hear about it from anywhere else.
