Discussion section as SEO

This got my interest.
Many channels have a "discussion" section, you can enable it too if you want (if you don't have it already), and I'm wondering what impact does it have for SEO.. If your viewers comment there a lot of keywords, will you rank higher in search results?

Same goes for regular comments. What do you think? Or even you can share an experience you had with it that you got ranked up in search results after a few users commented while using the keywords you are lookiung for. I would love to hear more about that!

I don't know anything about the impact of channel discussion, but video comments count as "engagement" -- engagement isn't really as important as watch time from an analytic perspective, but my understanding is that engagement (likes, dislikes, comments, shares) does count for something from YouTube's perspective.
