lol I got those extra views from unknown... >.>... I guess I will never know what video it came from. At least it gives good retention. I also noticed a few other new suggested video sources which gives good retention as well. I'm relieved ^^.

I think it is better not to know the source. It could be adult website (they almost never show in analytics) and/or darknet. Just let it go and be happy for the good retention times.

What exactly are YouTube botters and what do they do?

They take down rival channels or boost your own with likes or view time usually. It looked like we got hit with one the other day, we get a handful of `dislikes` every day, and then on one day we got 50 dislikes all at once, there was no increased views or likes, just a large `dislike` spike.

Our channel is small and we do it for fun, we don't worry about at the likes and dislikes. But if doing YouTube videos is your career then I'd imagine it'd be upsetting when these sorts of things happen.

that looks very organic to me, see how it curves upwards and then down again? a bot probably wouldnt be like that. it would probably just ping up out of nowhere, and then suddenly stop with no visible 'tail end'.

Now I know. X3 It just went up more than usual and it was so sudden to almost all my videos with little comments going on on that day. Glad it was organic rather than from external. ^^

I thought it was a bot because when I used AdWords once, it went just like that, even the tail end. (OR my memory could be lying to me lol)

Does not seem like suspicious activity maybe you video got shared by some one else?
