Dat Socialblade Rank

I'm actually amused by Socialblade. You see, I've been keeping track of my rank in Socialblade ever since I got 5 subs. And also, it's been exactly one year since I joined Youtube officially. I uploaded my first video on 27 August 2013 and now it's 27 Aug 2014, hooray!
Besides the point, I noticed that despite all my video and subscription ranks increasing due to it being a year already and with the increasing subs and videos I gets, it still ranks me as D+.
I guess there were just so many Youtubers that joined in the past year and overtook me somehow. (no surprise)

Anyone else ever felt they've been trolled by Socialblade Rankings before? :wideyed2:
I know it's unofficial but still. :p
Dat C- will be mine one day! :)

I like checking my rankings.. makes me feel accomplished to see I am moving up. No shame! I'm at a C- right now.. and ranked in the 700,000s for subs.

I think it's just a forumula based on subs, daily views, amount of videos, etc. Over the past year we went from a B- to a B to a B+. What's weird is we have more views and get more views per day than many of the channels that are ranked higher than us!

My rank was freefalling since I joined despite increasing subscriber counts. I just managed to keep it at about the same level.

My channel is a C. I don't know what to shoot for because even the channels I love watching have B to B+. I feel like socialblade has a really tough grading scale or something because the only channels I know of that have an A- or higher are the top 25 or so channels. Also, their predictions are horrible. The first time I checked them, it said it would take me a year to get 500 subscribers. 3 months later, I got 500, and now it says I won't even break 10K until over 5 years. It seems like their formula is way off.

According to the Social Blade FAQ:

When Social Blade was created we first just listed rankings based on # of subscribers and # of views, but it quickly became evident that this was not an accurate indicator of how people were actually doing on youtube.

Someone could have a bazillion subscribers that they cheated to get but not have any actual views. The SB ranking system aims to measure a channel's influence based on how many views they are actually getting, how they are doing networking wise (i.e. who has them in their box), and other factors.

If you have a A+, A, or A- SB rank then consider yourself very influential on youtube. If you're not there quite yet don't fret, just keep up the good work!
