Creativity has slowed down

Have you tried writing all your ideas down? Even if it's bad just write it down it might be useful later on.
It's not surprising you hit a slump. I'm just uploading the same thing every time so I'm fortunate enough not to have to grind my creative gears that often.

Is this... Is this why I'm so weird now? :unsure2: 2007 was a wild year, dude.

I take multiple showers a day to help with my creative blocks. ^.^ I'm tellin' ya dude.
I've been told that taking bath helps you relax where your mind can think without stress. Basically, you don't put any pressure on your idea making part of the brain where it can think. I don't know the scientific name for that part of the brain so I'm going to call it the squishy gray part of idea.

Have you considered injecting crack mushrooms straight into your brainstem?

OHH, you want PG ideas. Well, hrm. Yeah, taking a long how shower or bath can help, too.

I've found that over thinking can actually cause a slow down in creativity. I try to keep my mind active with other things such as reading, sport and other leisure activities and this sometimes helps me. I seem to get creative ideas by filling my mind with a wider range stimulus minus the pressure of being creative and then I seem to get creative ideas that seem to 'come from nowhere' lol. I don't know, this seems to work for me but I guess all people are different :)

This! Writing anything and everything down it a great help! Its a great way to brain storm. I usually have a ruled grid of 5x7, go to a quiet place and write whatever pops into my head down. After a few pages you'll get into the swing of things and you'll start to gain inspiration from stuff you probably wouldn't have thought of originally. Its a tough exercise to do, especially to start but worth it.

You can also take a break, take a bath etc but I find this least to procrastination if your not focused enough.

Lately my creativity has gone down and down. I can't think of any ideas that are good. Maybe my ideas are good but I don't think they are. It's like there's this fog in my head and I can't see through it too well. Sometime I see a glimpse of something, but it's never too clear. I've been using my usually ways of trying to think of new ideas but even those are not coming in handy. I don't know. What do you all do to get around a creativity slow down?

Edit: lets keep this PG, no talking about drugs, alcohol, sniffing paint, sniffing glue, sniffing markers, inhaling stuff that should stay out of the human body, no playing with detergents, step away from the fire, etc...

I've had that happen more than a handful of times. For me, it's one of two things. Spending more time talking with all my viewers. 4-12 hours a day of doing that, you get a wonderful idea of how your entire viewership thinks leading to ideas. Never force it, and always be patient. The other is to simply step back. I will go from constant interaction to binge watching TV series for 3-4 days and not logging into my channel a single time when doing so.

Really my key to get back there is to not force it. Just let it happen, and over time you'll find that is the only way great content comes about. Figure out how to copy yourself when you're on and in the YT zone, and you'll have videos to fall back on while not being as intuitive and seeing ideas as if you were just picking them like flowers.

Today was one of those rare days. Think I made my best video ever. Tomorrow I will suck again, but I can use a bit of what I had today to get by.

Good luck and you'll get the creativity when you least expect it. :D

I have a specific upload day so on that day, I just go through the list of ideas ive had in the week and see if any jump out at me, if they don't I'll just sit around thinking about it until something pops up because I know it needs to be up so something always comes to mind :)

Whenever this happens, I know my mind needs a break.
Do some hiking, go mountain biking, play some video games, read a book, and experience new things and rest your mind for a while.

I often find that just getting out and learning about different subjects and trying new things helps to unblock my creativity. Experimenting also helps.

What kind of channel are u? How did you came up with ideas till now?
Pretty much DIY right now I'm focusing on home improvement. When I think about the project I'm going to do I just visualize everything. Then I see what I can do to make it more interesting. For example, the video in my signature is a quick 1 minute fix. But I was like, "Let's put some teleportation in it because walking 5 steps it too much work." I thought it would get a laugh or two.
