Yeh I think thats how it works - or you can choose any of your current videos to be the trailer etc.

Im thinking of doing one with no talking etc in it - just showing highlights from my channel at a fast-ish pace with some decent music in the background......
 
I find this stuff cool, I think I will make one. :P What do you guys think, how long it should be? About a minute?
 
Yeh, I wouldn't go over 1 to 1.5 minutes.
Keep it short, sweet, and to the point.
Anything too long will get boring and will put new people off straight away.

Remember, this is your chance to make an impact and get people hitting that subscribe button!

yeah man funny thing is i made a highlight reel in december my "best of 2012" video so im just using that perfect timing i guess you could say haha
 
i saw ijustine have it, but it doesnt look personal :O i mean.. the layout that most of the youtubers have are custommade. And the new one seems weird.

Its a video that resides on your channel, and only non-subscribers see it.
You can chose any video to do this in the new layout, but you want to make it so that it informs people what your channel is about and why they should subscribe to you etc - try to entice them basically!

Therefore when a new viewer goes to your channel they will automatically see your 'trailer' video and hopefullyit will encourage them to subscribe.
Current subscribers just wont see the video, so it wont bother them at all.

Pretty good idea really!
