Could I monetize this channel?

I made a channel a while back called JtasTV where I did vlogging for a bit before I decided to trash all those videos and make it a compilation channel, I have three videos on that channel in a series called "A Tribute to Maru" where I put clips together of a cat called Maru.

It seems like all the channels I don't really care about get 1000's of views while the channel(s) I work hard on get very little.

Here's Maru's channel: Mugumogu

JtasTV is currently getting 3737.5 views per day, I was wondering whether or not I could partner with it? As the clips weren't used with express permission.

If I was to ask the owner of the clips for permission to make something from them, would that help?
 
So, these are basically just reedits of a cat jumping into boxes? I'm fairly certain that you would be allowed to monetize, and the owner of this Maru channel probably won't even notice or care. I'm not suggesting anything just saying. It may not be technically following YouTube's terms of service though... Idk... :confused:

I'm not sure if you read that correctly. Yes, the socialblade shows -116k, but Mr. Dinosauce up here never said anything about -3737.5. He was referring to his views per day.
 
I would't even try it. I doubt it any network would touch it. Content ID would notice it's stuff from another channel. Is your name associated with that channel in any way? I would completely insulate that channel from all your legit ones and not pursue this. Read youtube's terms of service. You don't want to even try to do this unless you have permission from the owner.

(my impression is that you downloaded other youtube vids and re-edited and re-uploaded them)

I suspect that you could monetize it but not partner it.

I know he said that but he missed the minus. That's what I was pointing out, it's actually getting 158 a day.
