We use Corel studio pro for all our editing of videos and such.
It gets the job done and I find it works really well it can render your videos from 420p to 4k.
While it lacks in animated titles the ones that are there are really nice.
I use most of the features like speed variations so slow motion and speed up the video.
Just watch a video of mine or youtube Corel studio pro to see the potential of this program and its
Easy on the wallet ;)

I use corel studios x7 pro, it's a dependable program and it's only around $70 but it does have it's limitations. For a starter program though it's great. I plan on getting Sony Vegas Pro here soon, but mainly for the ability to split up audio into separate tracks for different music track and voices from one track.

I want to get x7 but right now I'm only working 2 days a week lol .. Apparently Sony Vegas and adobe is like the shiz I've wanted to get them but I hate learning new program's or maybe I'm just too attached to x6
@Celsus you can split the audio and use it for later videos in x6 I don't know about x7 but I do it sometimes

two of my recording buddies you it, and love it to no ends.

When I say split up the audio I mean

Corel Splits the entire track in one audio file.

Audio track
-Audio track

Sony vegas splits it like this

Audio track
-Music track#1
-music track #2
-voice track #1
-voice track #2
-voice track #3

which is good to say if you have something with copyright in it, or someone being offensive, you can get rid of it without having to scrap your recording.

It is possible to split audio from video in X7, but maybe that's not what he wants? :P
