Copyright question older video

I've Got It
I have an older video that did very well and then because I used a clip I a song got nicked for copyright. I then used YouTube's music to put over it however I still can't claim it. If I removed the audio altogether or did a voice over or can I resubmit it to be claimed/monetized? My account is in good standing no issues what so ever. All green.

You can't edit it I don't think. Using Audioswap as you've seen makes your video not able to be monetized.

Yeah the video is useless really. I suppose it could help drive traffic to my other videos if I made it public. 30k views it'll let me make a copy and start from zero but It says can't save original because it has too many views.

Yeah that's the problem :( Has to be under 10,000 views

If you take it down, remove the music and do a voice over you'll be fine. I decided to do that before applying for partnership and it was a whole heck of a lot of videos, and it was fine.

I tried all of that and it still gave me trouble. I just gave up. It kept on telling me no matter what that I could only make a copy because it had to many views. I wish I would have known what I then what I know now about copyright and all that good stuff. Live and Learn right.
