Compression or no compression?

Hi there, so I have been working on this short film with my friends for a few months now, and my internet upload speed is pretty garbage. It took me 1 hour to upload a 4 min video! And, it took 3 hours to render it, but that's not internet, just my lack of RAM. Anyway this film is 15 mins and it's gonna take about a whole day, maybe two to upload this thing.

Since it's a short film and all I wan't it to be at a high quality film, so I don't want to compress, unless if I want it to upload fast.

Any suggestions?

Yeah it does that anyway which i'm not really worried about, just the time it takes to upload it...

Could you not take it to a friends and just do the upload on someone else's connection ? My mate uploads over at mine because my connection is ridiculously fast compared to his

I'm curious about this too.
If you use let's say, Handbrake, does the quality become worse than the original?
Cause the bitrate goes down to like 1mbps instead of the original which for me is usually 15mbps.

Check your bitrate, too high is just superfluous - just follow YT's guidelines:
