Community/Facebook groups

I was wondering, I'm fairly new to YouTube, so my question is, is it useful to join a ton of groups or community on Facebook or Google+, or is it better to stick to a few, and interact only with the few? I'm asking because I'm looking for the best way to get people to know me, and interact with them so that they'll want to watch my content, without me spamming it all over the place, you know? Please, let me know what you think.
 
I think its the best to stick with just a few. If you're joining too much communities, it becomes stressfull and you won't be holding up to that. Plus joining a community should be fun and not stressfull.

Yeah, this is what I've been thinking of doing because just like you said, I can't hold up to all of them. That said, thanks for your input.:up2:
 
During my first 2 months I used to join a lot of Facebook and Google+ groups. They can generate some views if you're willing to grind. It's worth experimenting a lot when you get started. But as your channel grows start cutting out what doesn't work and focus on the few things that do, then double down on that.

SO TRUE I did this on facebook and google+ and, yeah, it helped with a few views but was way to much to keep up with. I keep up with a handful of some and try to really join in on those communities

But is that the only way to advertise, the thing is, I joined a lot, when I make a video, I spam on must of it, but I don't see any growth out of it lately, I'm kind of at a lost
