Hi, can anyone tell me what's the best way to record a commentary over a gameplay video in Sony Vegas? Whenever i try to record it doesn't add my voice or when it adds my voice, it takes the video's sound away.

Mmm I'd probably say Vegas is you're best bet, I'm not sure what your doing to record your voice but when I record my voice on vegas it seems to work just fine

It doesn't add my voice to the video and when i press record it stops the video.

Its been a long time since ive used sony vegas because i prefer adobe premiere pro but if i can remember you have to add a new audio track then arm it for recording then hit the record button. If all else fails look up a tutorial on youtube.

How about using a different program for the voice recording?
