Comment section is out of control

ya, I don't get it....I'm so new to this....I see so many vid's out there with TTXkfl111kdi as a comment (or something similar) I don't know what it means.....if people are just typing or what is going on but I see many videos with comments that make no sense

My thoughts are that parents let their little kids watch family-friendly videos and don't supervise their kids tapping on the screen incidentally posting comments.

I'm not being technical, freedom of speech is designed to protect your freedom of speech towards the government. A company can ban you for saying stuff it does not agree with as it wouldn't fall under free speech.

Studying and seeing how comment sections work, I think, can be Integral to growing one's own channel. It's something I pay attention to quite a bit which has led me to look at comment sections of channels that all differ in genre and personality. For the most part, I think people who leave YouTube comments in all the ways that you described come from people who feel the need to make noise. Those types of people want to leave an impression and/or make "it" about them. Essentially it's apart of just getting attention for a lot of the dumb and spam comments you see.

What you have to take into account as well is that comments (especially thumbed up ones) don't matter all the time. I come across videos which will have easily 20 or 30 thousand views but have less than 300 comments. So most viewers aren't actually reading comments, thumbing them up or leaving them. Most viewers aren't giving their input to videos, they just watch em and keep on coming back to em. However I never pass up a chance to spot those genuinely interested commenters who actually like my content and have something constructive and/or relevant to say in my comments and those are the comments I ALWAYS respond to on my channel.

However I do think that certain comment sections say a lot about a particular channel or YouTuber. Take the DramaAlert channel for instance. Anyone can see by scrolling through the comment sections of those videos that commenters don't really care about the subject matter that is presented in the video. It's all spam or irrelevant posts or immature and grammatically challenged commenters fighting each other. There is rarely ever a constructive and relevant comment.
 
Those spam comments are actually really starting to annoy me. Not on my own videos but on others. I scroll down the comments on nearly every video I watch to see what people thought but its just turned into complete crap recently.

once again, you are getting "Technical", my statement "freedom of speech" has nothing to do with laws, anyone can speak "Express themselves" you spending so much time trying to be right that you are seeming ignorant 0_0...

You have the freedom to express yourself, however a company/person also has the freedom to not allow you to express themselves using their platform. It's a two way street. I'm clearing up a common misconception, so instead of being insulting, you could always try being nice :)
 
If the likes bother you, have some fun and see how many dislikes you can you get. I will say I have been bored lately and while not going overboard last time in that mood, next I don't think I will have the constraint not to have a bit of fun. Thumbs up/thumbs down all the same and never forget that quote from Private parts about the haters watching for like 2 to 3 times as long lol
 
Why should people have to care about the content ? I think the problem is that youtube is full of content creators who are arrogant enough to think they are important to the world and deserve more.
