Comedy Skits

Whenever i make a comedy video/skit i don't really laugh when watching. I sometimes laugh at some parts but not a lot. Does any other people that make comedy videos do this? I just find it a bit weird. I will come up with a funny idea and when the video is done i don't really laugh.
 
we make comedy skits and we watch them as a group. if we didn't get a good laugh or two out of the video we don't post it. check ours out and let us know what you think. ill check yours out in the mean time
 
If you hear a joke over and over the joke gets old... and you dont really laugh at it anymore... same goes when you watch your video.. you've just heard the jokes so many times its just not as funny anymore lol :P
 
Well a comedian never really laughs at his own jokes, mostly because they've said them over and over and I bet at first when they thought it up, it was hilarious, but after awhile I mean they'll still find it funny but not as funny as the first time.

It's like experiencing an amazing movie for the first time, you're never going to get that experience again when you watch that same movie.
 
Like they said above, it could be because you've watched it so many times...the best thing to do would be to find someone who wasn't involved in the making of the video, let them watch it, and see if they find it funny. Find someone who will be honest with you about it though.
 
I laugh at my own jokes, but when you make it yourself and then watch it over, it's like "I already made the joke before". I think comedy skits are very hard to be funny on YouTube, unless you have really nice equipment and the people making them are adults.
 
I seriously hate all the videos I make and actually never want to upload them but then I started showing them to people before I uploaded them and they where ******* themselves. After that I just came to the conclusion that I know nothing about what makes good content and that I should just upload what ever my final product is and it will probably make ppl laugh

That's similar to my mindset, which is why I need to make different stuff. The adage of "Make what you'd want to watch" rings true.
