It's a little heavy on my PC (my PC isn't that bad either)
Mobo: Phenom II X4 955 BE
RAM: 16GB DDR3
GPU MSI 7770 1GB

I've heard of Bandicam, just wondering if anyone has used other screen recording software and know that it's good.
Cheers :P

Movavi screen recorder

Its really nice, dont use it anymore, but you decide everything on it :) also cheap ( 35 euro) and it includes a video editor with it :))

I'll give it a look :) Although I'm not really looking to pay tbh
general rule for anything. anything you get free will never be as good as the things you pay for.. bandicam recors 10 mins max
and fraps costs also 40 :/

But look around there must be something, i found some but they never worked sadly :( but good luck on google my friend

The best paid ones other than fraps are- dxtory and action. But fraps shouldn't make your pc lag, because mine is only 6gb of ram and it doesn't make mine lag.

Bandicam is a good alternative to fraps. You can adjust the file type and quality a bit more to make it so it doesn't impact your system as much as something like fraps. The file sizes are also a hell of a lot smaller than fraps xD

Yeah that's my issue with it, 10 minutes is coming out as around 10GB :L It just seems to slow my game FPS more that it should on some games, e.g. games with 80 FPS going down to 25-35 FPS

Bandicam is about half the size of fraps xD maybe less. A lot of the time, if you have one hard drive, however, different programs won't make a difference. If you fraps and your game on the same hard drive, they'll be accessing that hard drive at the same time, which will more than likely take the haddrives read speed up. Making your game run incredibly slow. So, the best fix is to just get another hard drive xD

That actually makes a lot of sense, thank :) does that mean it'd be affected if I were to set up a 2nd hard drive and put them in RAID?
Nope. That would most likely help your fps in the situation, because then you could have both the hard drives working together lessening the strain on them both. :D
