Clicking on ads to earn money?

Which won't matter because regardless of whether the IP is yours or not, click bombing will get you banned, nice idea IN THEORY, won't work in practice, people have found out the hard way already.

I've been so paranoid about this that I don't even tell anyone my channel name. I know one instance where a guy told his family and his grandma got his channel terminated by 'helping him out' by clicking ads. This was over 5 years ago though and that kind of clickbombing usually does not result in channel termination unless they determine the clicks are coming from you. Nowadays, when you hear someone say they were clickbombed, 99% of the time they are lying. Back then it was only 80% of the time lol.

They don't, nor would they likely care.

It's if someone (family or not) were to repeatedly reload a video to click the ads (or even artificially inflate view counts) that they really take interest.

Considering that ads are not shown with every view and that ads don't pay much individuallly, it would take a lot of refreshing to earn anything. By then, the risk easily outweighs any possible reward.

Rerpeated clicking of ads (or having someone else do it) to boost your income is a sure fire way to have any and all channels and accounts with Google closed forever. No thanks.

Yep there have been a number of occasions in the past where people have tried to help out a channel by doing that without realising it would get them banned, it can still happen though and this is why I'll never ever trust AdSense.

Sure I can. I'll blame anyone who tries to use underhanded strategies...even more so if they then offer their shady techniques (no matter how poorly thought out) as possible advice.

Google tracks IP addresses. If the same address rewatches a video multiple times within a few hours, it only counts as one view. If the same IP rewatches and clicks every ad, they would quickly know something was going on.

If needed, it's also not difficult for them to track rough origin location so even if you had multiple devices or faked your IP, it would still be fairly obvious.

Of course, none of that really matters since, from the millions of channels out there, they know what typical ad watch numbers and clicks should look like. If, for instance, a similar sized and targeted channel only averages a 3% ad click rate and you had an 82% rate, it wouldn't matter if the clicks came from the same IP or from all over the world, it would be obvious that something was going on.

Again, yes, I absolutely can blame you for trying to play the system...especially since this site is geared for people who want to succeed from legit and honest methods.

If you want to play the system, there are other sites that focus on those methods, but good luck trying to outsmart Google and don't come here complaining when your YouTube channel is closed.
 
Everything is possible technically, YouTube can watch everything and can decided whither you 've cheated them or not and they can ban your account. Similarly, those who trying to use underhanded ways they can always find new sneaky ways to cheat. At any case, the advertisers who will pay money will audit their ad's clicks before paying their ads' money.

However, and actually why we are trying to think on getting money and any other earnings illegally ? We should watch our consciences because wrong directions deeds always create negative reflective signals at least if you look at it from the psychological point of view. Sure those who follow wright directions are the final winners.

so, it is better to watch your self before others may watch you. :thumbsup2:
