For the question of getting a cheap PC, I would learn how to build a custom one. For example: A prebuilt $700 pc could have the value of an educated built $300 pc. Many prebuilt $1000 pc's (like from best buy or something) are marked up so bad that it is a 100% cost increase from their base counterparts, and sometimes more or less. Meaning you bought a $500 pc for $1000. Just google "How to build a computer from scratch" and go to lifehacker's link page. It teaches you what you need to know. The best tip I can give you is to always buy parts on sale/rebate (like Newegg). If a Motherboard and a compatable CPU are on rebate for 30% off on both (or a decent percentage), get them. Always shop for rebates, do research on the parts, benchmarking, comparisons to other models and brands, etc etc. A GPU doesn't have a compatibility problem as much as the CPU and Motherboard do (only CPUs with certain slots fit into certain Motherboards). I would get a GPU around the same range of your computer, don't get one too low of speed or too high. Too slow and you will need to upgrade too soon, too high and you won't be able to utilize it with a CPU that cannot keep up with the GPU. After you get the parts it is really as simple as plug, plug, plug, then controlling wires (like with zip-ties). You Many parts have the same plug in slot as other parts do.I will try it now![]()
I have no solution for your issues with the Elgato software, as I have never experience problems with mine. Maybe uninstall the software and get the beta version of one that will be officially released soon, or just reinstall it without the beta version.
