Channel Trailers

All,

I was just wondering if someone could give me a few details on channel trailers. I have a pretty good idea what I want to do but was wondering more of what happens after you upload.
1 - Does the trailer just get saved with your other videos?
2 - Do you include a link to your page that they can click on?

I didn't find a thread with the specifics so forgive me if this has already been said.

Thanks!

1) Make it short. Nobody wants a 10 minute trailer to sift through, have it 2-3 minutes at best.
2) Make it appealing and relevant to your channel's content.

i completely ignored the whole "Trailer" idea, i just put my latest vid as the vid, why? because if they dont like my latest video, its something i post, so they better off knowing what i will be posting.

A channel trailer is exactly the same as a normal upload; it is just a featured video in one sense I guess. That video can still be found if someone were to search for it :) And make 'em short, snappy and interesting ;)

A channel trailer can be anything, it is just another video and as such it will be posted with your other videos. You can however set it to "unlisted" so it doesn't show up unless the person is on your channel page unsubscribed.

2 the trailer when set correctly will already be on your page so there is no need to link it.

I purposely keep my trailer unlisted - so the only way people will see it is if they are unsubscribed and come to my channel home page, or now also through a Fan Finder ad. I find it's a useful way to see some statistics specific to unsubscribed visitors who come to my channel.

Ditto.
I don't think many YouTubers use "trailers" to introduce people to their content. It kinda speaks for itself really :P
