Channel Trailer

Hello all,

Was wondering what advice I could get on creating a great trailer for my channel?

Should it be gameplay and text, voiceovers, dramatic music? Any help would be appreciated.

I would keep it short - i.e. 30 seconds or so. It should be an engaging, entertaining and informative overview of you and your channel. It should be representative of the kind of content and style that your viewers are likely to find. Finally, it should contain a call to action - probably subscribe - to try and hook new viewers. Don't over think it. The exact approach will be down to you!

As someone who often "watches" YouTube by just listening to it, I'd say voiceover would be very helpful.

Voiceover is key. I've gotten loads of compliments on my trailer (see below), not that I think it's the best or only way to do it, but I think I have it set up well.
  • 1min (ish) long.
  • Intro is like 5 secs or less and has attention getting opening including initial call to action (".....you havent subbed to me yet")
  • If they are watching, not just listening, theres some inide games I've played in the trailer as well as other stuff.
  • Call to action at the end with another ask for sub.

That is a great trailer! This is going to take some thinking...

Thanks! It's the only thing I've ever done scripted (well, outside of paid work on other channels for voice acting or something, or a school project, haha) and I think I did a semi-decent job not sounding TOO much like I'm reading a script.

I like it, but want to update it sometime here soon, haha.

Show all the exciting or funniest moments from your channel to let people know what they'll be getting by subscribing to you.

Not sure man, personally I like music and animations like my own have a look at my trailer and tell me what you think.
My channel is BrandonSpen27 I am just getting started so a like or a sub would be very helpful and I would appreciate a lot!
