Channel promote.

i'm using g+,facebook,reddit and twitter.
Best traffic i get g+ communities, facebook a little bit and twitter/reddit almoust nothing.
Somebody ask me why not you use instagram...
there is tons of people who maybe wanna watch your content.
Where do you promote your channel?

I promote my channel on Twitter, instagram , g+ and Tumblr. I dont use facebook because none of my friends or family know I am on youtube and for now I want it to stay that way :) !
 
I promote mostly on Twitter but I made an Instagram account for my YT channel so now I have that, plus I use my Tumblr as well!
I don't use Facebook because I really don't want people from my old high school and my family knowing about my channel, and I really don't know how to promote on g+ efficiently yet so I'm holding off on that for now.
 
Ive been using both facebook and twitter and so far most views come from facebook, even though I promote equally on both. But I feel Im doing something wrong or missing something
 
Do you guys feel that twitter helps you with promotion? I was thinking of making a twitter account but with no followers I felt like it would be a waste of time because no one would see my tweets.
 
I think that it helped me a bit, but I started mine as a writer so that helped quite a bit. People will follow you if you have 0 tweets even so that can help quite a bit.
 
So far it hasnt really helped me. Ive fallen in a pit of people who only promote their own content and dont really look at mine. I mean I try to keep up with several people. Just my experience so far.
