Channel Hit A Wall

This is sort of just a post to vent.
In the past four days, our channel just absolutely tanked. We were growing really slowly, but we were growing and excited to have reached 30 subs. Only about 4-5 of them were keeping up with our schedule, but it was a really good feeling to know that we always had SOMEBODY watching. We've posted four videos in a row that have only gotten views from the two of us (we feel no shame in watching our own stuff lol) and we're expecting this trend to continue. We're not really looking for any suggestions, because I already have plans to change things up a bit and add more variety, but it's so heartbreaking to work super hard day after day, putting in probably 20 hours a week of work, to have literally NOBODY to see/appreciate the results. We put out our most well-planned, hyped up show, and got nothing.
It just goes to show that at the end of the day, we're working to entertain others, but all that really matters is whether or not we like our own material.

What are you doing to promote yourselves? Do you have any Social Media outlets attached to your channel?

Mainly Twitter. We have a Facebook, but I suck at keeping up with it. That's one of the changes we discussed that need to happen if we want to draw people in/keep them interested[DOUBLEPOST=1446714789,1446714464][/DOUBLEPOST]Video length is another issue. We've already started working on that, but we almost never make videos shorter than 10 minutes. Usually they're around 20-30 min and our Tuesday/Friday show is around an hour long. People just don't have the time to keep up with our uploads, so we're gonna try to throw in content other than Let's Plays (songs, sketches and the like), and those will be more like 2 - 5 minutes

We all go through this and it is heart breaking to think all the effort sometimes isn't appreciated BUT ...

This is part and partial to development as a channel and as a person.

Use this wall to motivate yourself and not the opposite use this wall to inspire you to create more content and when the results and views do come in you will feel GREAT!!!!

Keep going my man :) Youtube is hard and gaming is saturated!!!

you have great chemistry when chatting and very nice quality MIC etc :) I would suggest experimenting a bit with thumbnails and titles to see if you can get the clicks. With games, people click for the game and stay for the personalities.

Haha cool channel and nice well dialogues on the videos, just watched one and laughed so hard haha.. !

But is normally like what ur sayin that u have 40-50 subs or whatever and then like 3 of them are watching.
But hey dont give up just keep on with ur work, Rome wasnt build in one day!

Thanks for all the support everyone :D I may play more with the titles, and I try to make nice thumbnails that also deliver consistent branding, but I'm not a great designer or anything, so they tend to be kinda mediocre. And I usually don't change it up from episode to episode within each series, so that probably does some harm
